I am planing on buying 2009 Toyota Camry se v6, and wondering how insurance company categorize SE model. As sedan or as sport car?

It should be considered a sedan on your insurance policy.

its only considered a sport car if it has 20" rims, lowering springs, a lawnmower exhuast and a Trd emblem.

LE V6 is a "sedan" and i think the SE v6 has the same HP??

I believe LE V6 and SE V6 has same engine, same HP/Torque. only difference is exterior look and interior options.

Dont they categorize cars based on how many doors and the power of the engine plus if its a luxury car (brand)?

Told my parents I'm getting a Camry SE and they were like, "your insurance is going to go up cuz its a sports car". I'm like "Its the style that makes it sporty. The engine is same as if I didnt get the sporty look". I dont even know why I discuss it with them.

When you want sports car handling, you buy a sports car.

camry = sedan / coupe (dunno if they make 2 doors anymore). It will never be a sports car.

Wouldn't a two minute phone call to your OWN agent answer this question? You still only have opinions here although they might be correct. The anser comes from your insurance company.

4 door sedan, mine replaced a 90's 4 door Buick Regal with liability and it's
$6 a month cheaper for my Camry with full coverage, different insurance company as well.

I pay like $37 a month for my SE with full coverage and a $500 deductible.

As far as I know, Camry's are considered family cars.

Hell, i have a friend who has a Solara, and the insurance labeled it a Camry, hahaha.
