Talking My Turn For 08 Rattles...

Hi all,

I've had my car for about 7 months now, 08 Camry LE i4, 6500 mi., US built.

When I turn up the radio, or hit pot holes, I hear rattles from the front passanger door. It's not even at full bass (Bas 3-4). If I put a little pressure on the door panel, it goes away.

And the other one is on the rear seat, when I pushed the edges, it makes the clicking noise, and I alerady replaced the hooks clips / fasteners, and it still makes that noise.

Other than that it's perfect (except a little hesitation sometimes).

Any ideas how to fix this? Any DIY's?

If I take it to the dealer, they're going to keep my car for 1 full day, and probably going to mess up the door panel with broken clips and oil stain, like they did to my left kick panel when they install the alarm.

Thanks in advance guys,

Fil

If you're getting "loud sound system" rattles, then that always sounds like a job for a bit of Dynomat or similar.

For the back seat, just try to figure out where you might be able to add a bit of padding to cushion things, and then add it.

Both of these are relative "pieces of cake," if you're willing to do a bit of disassembly to get in there. Bear in mind that you're about 1,000% more likely to do the job more carefully and completely than anyone at your dealer would....

Alright, thanks Thoots, I'll take the door and the back seat apart probably this weekend and I'll post some pics.
