Gen5 Stock head unit color change

Awhile back, since I got my 2005 camry I saw someone modding their stock head unit.

He basically took it apart and changed the led lights to a different color, I remember there were like 20+ blubs to change since they were really tiny.

I'm not sure if it was on this forums or other forums, but I was wondering if anybody remember that or know any information about the blubs or how to take the head unit apart.

Thanks for replying.

its not the gen 5, but its very similiar: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t97347.html

i have done it to my stock stereo (changed the leds to blue), but have since upgraded to a new headunit. unfortunately, i didn't take pictures, so you're out of luck

i still have the stereo around here somewhere, so i can probably take pictures of what it looks like... just need to find a way to power it up out of the car.

EDIT: just went through the link, they are actually some pictures for the gen 5 stereo

dude you are awesome, thanks so much for some reason I couldn't find it through search tool.

Anyhow, it would help alot if you could just show me how to take it apart or what screw/hindges to remove then I can do the rest myself unless you are willing to sell your gen 5 head unit?

Thanks again.

Do you happen to have a gen 5 stereo?

If so, how much for the modded one?

I'm wondering if a oem head unit off ebay w/ cassette player will work on my car because it does not have a cassette player in the car. same year and model.
