Gen5 Help! Remote Start Alarm Issues

I recently had a Viper 560XV installed in my wife's 05 LE. Since the install we have had issues. The alarm has acted up it has caused no start conditions. It has also caused the 5A ECU–ACC fuse to burn out.

A particular issue is the remote start starts the car but the but the engine will die with the key in the ignition in the on position upon application of the brakes. Combination meter, radio and clock display work fine while engine is running. Upon restarting with the key, no combination meter, radio or clock display (burnt fuse).

Anyone know why the circuits on the 5A ECU–ACC are operation during remote start warm-up? It seems to me that the circuits should be dead since the fuse is blown.

Had the system removed for a few day without any problems. Had it reinstalled and issues resurfaced again after six days.

Any help/insight is appreciated.

Either faulty Viper or installation was done wrong.

theres really nothing we can do over the computer for all these problems. You said that you had it installed recently so bring it back to them. Its only right for them to diagnose the problems that their work caused or that the product they installed is not working correctly.

Are you locking the car with the viper remote? I dont think you can lock the car with the car remote. I had the same problem with me 4runner. Try locking the car with the remote that came with the remote start.

seems to like whoever installed it, didn't do it properly. pressing the brakes is supposed to shutoff the remote start system, that seems to be working properly in your case. however the engine should stay on if the key is in the on position when you press the brakes. also, accessories turn on first before the car starts, thats the way the viper system works. if you're burning the ACC fuse that leads me to believe the wires tapped into the ignition system are wired improperly. go to a different installer who knows what they are doing...

locking/unlocking the car has nothing to do with the ACC fuse if they system is wired properly, locking/unlocking only affects starting with the key alone. if you lock the car with the viper remote and don't unlock again with the viper remote, it will bypass the ignition (you cannot start with the key).
