5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I recently signed a new 2008 Camry SE I4 with the leather/sunroof package
Due to transmission problems, the dealer has agreed to exchange the car for an identical 2009 model.
OR
I can choose to get 2009 SE V6 with no leather, but I think sunroof is standard on this model.
So it basically comes down to leather vs the V6. For the SE V6 with leather I'd have to shell out more cash, which I do not have.
In all honesty, the I4 was fine for my city driving, but after having traded in a 2003 Acura TL Type S I quickly found I was missing the V6 power, but I also like the leather. I am leaning towards the V6 with no leather....because I'll probably miss the V6 more than leather.

You can always upgrade the leather later, but not the V6. I went this route and the letter I got is better quality than OEM (IMO).
Where did you do that - local upholstery, aftermarket kit....? I agree, it does not take too much to get better aftermarket leather seats - in particular for the CE/LE/XLE.
They didn't offer the hybrid at all? ...I mean if you're going to have a choice of 2 engines, why not 3?

I know lammydi will tell you to get the v6. Dont make the same mistake!
lol...I wasn't gonna chime in since all of you said go for a v6. But since you dragged my name in so here it is.
Don't make the same mistake twice.
Get a v6 or you'll be like me (see my avatar) :hea dbang::hea dbang::hea dbang::hea dbang::hea dbang:
