it took you ~3 years to figure out you didn't have an alarm?
i doubt any alarm is an easy install... if you don't know what you're doing or at the very least have some electrical knowledge, you should have a professional install it. i'd personally choose one of the viper (DEI) products.

I have a question on alarms i have an 06 Camry LE which im new to Toyota and i read somewhere if someone forces the doors open or trunk an alarm will sound, is this on just the Camrys with the engine Imobilizer?
im thinking about getting the viper 5900. I like the fact that when your alarm gose of it pages you.
any 2-way alarm system will do that. the thing u wanna have is range. if ur alarm goes off but ur not in range then it wont page you. just ermember to stay away from buying alarms online b/c a lot of them are refurbs and a lot of the vendors online are not certifed dealers for the company voiding the warrenty on the alarm.
i don't know yet, i saw it at FutureShop (do you have them in the US? it's the sister company to BestBuy) But i'll probably go to BestBuy because Futureshop screwed my sisters fiances car up ....or i'll go to a custom shop.
its taken you this long to realize you dont have an alarm?
you didnt notice the lack of the red blinking light and SECURITY indicator on the climate control? you didnt notice your lack of a fat chip key? you didnt notice a lack of a TOYOTA security sticker on your window?
majority of 2002-2006 camrys dont have alarms....to my knowlege only the XLE, XLE V6, SE V6 and LE V6 came with the alarm as standard....it was an option on the other LE and SE 4 cyl models, biut rarely was equipped.

i mean when i bought my car i knew i didnt have an alarm....i have lojack and a killswitch with fuel cutoff....i dont think anyone will be able to steal my car....much better than a honking alarm
for alarms tho, i had a viper alarm with breakage and impact sensors on my integra....worked quite well, but a strong breeze or loud car would set it off and vibrate the keyfob in my pocket, which got to be annoying
I have engine immobilizer w/ factory alarm. My car's not going anywhere. On my Gen 5 Cam, I just had the blinking lights and honking horns. I thought about LoJack but realized that if my car is stolen, I probably wouldn't want it back anyway. Probably never be the same again.
