Can anyone recommend a good dealer for service in the Metro DC area?
My girlfriend’s 2001 Camry has 100,000+ miles on it and could use some suspension work like new shocks/struts and bushings.
I'm an automotive engineer living in Alexandria, VA but I'm not that familiar with the DC Toyota community and do not have the facilities to service her car myself.

THX!
The closest to you is going to be Jack Taylor's Alexandria Toyota. They are competent in terms of service, but I would not buy a car from them. Miller Toyota is out in Manassas and have always taken care of me (above and beyond). Koons in Tyson's Corner is a crap shoot depending on which service advisor/technician team you get. Fitzgerald is good but it will be a haul from Alexandria (they are in Gaithersburg).

I bought a 00 Tacoma from Ourisman Fairfax Toyota and had good service from the from 2000-2003. I bought my 06 Sequoia from Toyota of Bowie and have had good service, I know it's a hike for you.

That's where I bought my 07 Tacoma. Glad to know there's no need to return there for service.

I head Fitzgerald in Gaithersburg has the best deals... I ultimately went to Antwerpen in Clarksville because it's 5 min from my house...
Although FitzMall has rock-bottom prices on new cars, their service dept's competency leaves much to be desired in my experience. The managers and service writers are very nice and try their best to accommodate, but the shop workers who worked on my previous car botched the job in many ways. I posted a list of screw-ups in a thread here last year when they worked on my 07 V6 Camry transmission that had the flare problem.
First of all, do not give out bad information here. Darcars IS NOT FAST. They are by far the slowest service center I have ever seen and it reminds me of trying to get through customs in a third world country. Do not get your car serviced there. I just bought an 09 SE from there and got a solid deal. If you plan to buy a car they are the best around here, and talk to my uncle Mr. Lodin for finance issues.
If you want a good fast service, Antwerpen in clarksville is my place.
I'd avoid Waldorf Toyota. They are overpriced and scratched my car. However, I have had nothing but good experiences at Toyota of Southern Maryland. Way out in the sticks, but good prices, and great service.
