With people switching the cloth seats over to leather, I'm assuming it shouldn't be that hard?

Yes, for that kind of dough, you could get aftermarket leather installed.
Still, I'm pretty sure some "professional help" might take care of your problem.
Go to you dealership's service writers, and ask them who they use for their aftermarket leather and seat repair work. All dealerships farm this work out to some sort of local shop, and whoever your dealer works with probably has all kinds of experience in taking care of any issue you could ever conjure up, and hundreds more.
For instance, a good upholstery shop should be able to take your cloth seat covers off, unsew the seat panel that is damaged, and sew in a new piece of cloth to match it. "Whether they could match the seat fabric exactly" would be a big question, though -- especially with the quite unique SE seat cloth.
Still, find out who your dealer uses, and go talk with that shop. And/or, check with any other shops around your area. These folks can do all kinds of things with cloth and leather, so let them have a shot at it!
