Did you read the paragraph that you included in your second post? Where does it say to contact the dealer when replacing tires? It says that you should use the same brand and tread pattern and inflate properly for the system to work properly. That's hardly the same as instructing you to contact the dealer.

That just states you should use the same size and type of tire all around and with proper dimensions etc etc. Has nothing to do with the tire change itself...and disclaimers to protect them if someone chooses awkward tire spec or suspension. Even with the TRD drop the VSC/TRAC works just fine and is under warranty, LE/SE/XLE come with different tires/rims and all work fine with the VSC. Don't worry.
