5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Well I just purchased my Camry in April but I am already looking into spending some money on it. I was bored earlier and came up with a few ideas for a two tone paint job for my Camry using the RKSport body kit and "functional" (lol) ram air hood.
First, a little something I came up with after being reminded of Iron Man (Awesome movie, yes I am a nerd) when messing around with colors:
Horrible, yes I know.
Anyway, on to the ones that are more feasible:
Also have these two styles that I don't like as much, but I will post them anyway:
Yes, I know the white version looks a bit odd with the black there but I didn't want to go and spend a lot of time fixing it. Not sure if there is a better way to do the white that avoids the black. I am no photoshop pro.
Credits to the car and the host of the original image:
I understand that these paint jobs are rather aggressive since the Camry is a four door family sedan, but why the hell not.
Anyway, I don't know if I will be doing a paint job like this or just color match the bodykit and hood or stick with a single tone that is different than what I currently have.
Look on Cardomain and look for Naristo kitted Camry's via google. Their are some which are similar to what you propose (black/blue, red/beige etc). I personally would probably take something with not too much color contrast, like the 3rd from top. Your nose color designs makes the front look like a 300 copy though (my impression only) - not sure if that is your intent. Well, go for it - time somebody on TN gets into color!

not much for any of those paint schemes
i guess im simple...i like oem paintjobs or clean one color custom jobs....if anything, paint it a custom single color if you want it to be different
i hate done up show cars and paint schemes like whats above...im sorry to be rude but it looks like poop.
I can see you like black/grey/silver and or white.
Considering the that front bumper is one piece, I dont know if it would look good painted to make it look separate. It does look sweet but again, its a photoshopped image and not the actual product.
i actually like most of them, looks really good BUT to be honest, would u really drive down the street sporting one of those? i mean a couple of them are doable, the rest, r more of a show car but thats jux my 2 cent
like i said tho, it does look nice =]
especially IRON MAN! n u can mod it to where when u honk it can say "I AM IROONNNN MMAAANNNN"
^im DEAD serious.......
^
no im not

I think this is the site that Tobeit was talking about. I think these look better then the ones you posted ( alittle more simple and clean ). Then again I'm not sure what type of paint scheme your looking for. Hope this gives you a couple of more options. http://www.importtrenz.com/v3/catalo...at=2042&page=1

The last two images I posted are very much like the ones in that link, a lot more subdued.
The idea is mainly to make the Camry look more aggressive and make it stand out from the crowd. I don't think I would ever enter a show with it, even if I did one of the more standout color schemes. I just want it to be different than the other million camrys. Like I stated above, I know the Camry is a four door family sedan, but that still doesn't mean it cannot look aggressive and have it stand out.
I'll tell it to you the way it was told to me in my younger years....pick a scheme....then pick some colors....then put it in the hands of an artist and let him/her do their thing. This was when I was getting custom candy work done on a show car.
