I was thinking about getting my windows tinted. I am in California and I think the legal limit is 70% in the front. I want the same tint on all windows so I was going to go 60%, I don't want to get pulled over. Will I be able to see a difference between 60% tint and whatever my stock windows are?
Also, any recommendations for tinting in Sacramento.
Thanks.

I got 50% in the front and 35% in the rear. From the outside, you can tell that they are lightly tinted all the way around but it is not so dark that you can't see in. I have black interior, so the light tint looks darker than it actually is. From the inside looking out, the 50/35% is barely noticeable but helps cut down on the glare of the sun and those Baja lifted 4x4's headlights.
When I first got my car tinted, the tint shop got mine mixed up with someone else and they put 15% in the front and 8% in the rear. They fixed it a week later but it was like driving in a tunnel during the day and I couldn't see well to back up at night. I had a CHP officer follow me home the day I got them tinted, and I mean literally he followed me home to my driveway and slowly passed by looking at me before he turned around and left. I thought he was going to stop and write me a ticket... He must have been waiting for me to do something else illegal.
I wouldn't go darker than 35% in the front and 20% in the rear. If you want the same all around, 35% wouldn't be bad in my opinion.
Sacramento Tint shop: I can't remember the name of it, but there is a good tint shop in the Rancho Cordova/Gold River area near Sunrise and Coloma off Pyrites Way along the 50 freeway just past that U-haul maintenance center. You can see it from the freeway on the north side.

Just for info, any tint on the front windows are considered illegal in California. I agree with LNGasMan, 50/35 is a good combo, that's what I have. I used "tintonwheels.com". The owner, Andy, he'll go to your work or home and do the job there. He's usually works in the San Francisco Bay Area.
its not worth getting 60% tint IMO. as long as your not sportting 5% or 2.5% you should be fine. i have 15% all around and i've been ok so far *knock on wood*
Your windows are already tinted to 70% from the factory. There will definitely be a difference even if it's just 60%
it is really 70 up front from factory? when i had my windows retinted i got 5% around the back and 70% up front

You must be referring to Tintmasters. That's where I actually got mine tinted. And in fact, they do "OEM tinting" for Roseville Toyota dealership. Good service. Cost me $70 to do front windows tinted to 35%.

Yep! Tintmasters is the name. I used to live east of Sacramento near Jackson and still have family up there.

i live in the Dominican republic and out here you can do practically anything regarding window tints. next weekend I'm getting my tints done as dark as it can go including a 45% tint on my front windshield. some people find it dangerous but its just a matter of getting used to the darker windshield and to some point its kind of necessary since laws out here do nothing about drivers with their high beams and trust me when some idiot is coming at you with hid's on their high beams you'll definitely justify the wind shield tint.

lol, a small correction for you...
That would be some idiot is coming at you with hid's on their low beams from their HID kit inside the halogen housing or halogen projector but did not cover the squirrel spotters.
It's too much glare from the headlight that make you think they have high beam on!!!
That is just dangerous.

There are cars that have HID high beams, something inside the light assembly moves to change the aim from low to high.
