I have been shopping powder coaters. I have been seeing about $100 a wheel w/ a lifetime finish guarantee. I do not think any one has done it yet. I am seriously considering powder coating my wheels black.

Some body shops say they can ceramic coat the wheels for less, but the gurantee is not there. Good luck on your choice.

I agree with the powder coating idea. It is way more durable than paint. I was thinking of getting my set of Enkei GF1 wheels powder coated black. When they get scratched up and dull looking in a few years I will shop around for powder coating.

PS - I just noticed that you have a Blue Ribbon Camry also. Post some pics if you get your wheels done in black.

Powder coating can be made cheaper if you pick a color which they already use/run for some other mass products. In that case, they just hang your wheels on with all the other mass coating pieces and you only pay for the base charge and the labor to prep the wheels. I just did that with my strut bar (color was called "little red wagon" :-)). The remaining expensive part is the labor to a) tape/mask all the parts you don't want to be coated, and b) to prepare the coating surface. To further reduce cost you can do some of the prep by yourself.
