I have a 'tin' like clatter sound from my engine at 1500rpm when I press the gas slightly. Some one mentioned to me that it might be valve clatter noise.
My car has 33k and is still under factory warranty. I just want to know what everybody here thinks the sound is and what can be done to fix it before I take it to the dealership. It is anything serious??

I can't hear it but I'm guessing that it's normal...
I just farted. It smells bad. Is there something wrong with that smell or is it normal? It kind of sounds like a duck. Is that a normal sound? Thanks....all opinions and advice is welcome.

I reposted the thread with the request that nobody ghey it up. So far nobody has. But I'm sure there's more that can be added.
I also agree with you. The OP should post a video. That would be better than trying to guess what his car MIGHT sound like...

If a the 2007 camry I brought brand new makes weired noisethat my other cars(honda & chevy) do not make, then i'm pretty sure its a problem.
I have had airbag, transmission, battery, suspension, steering rod, and AC problems with this car. I won't be surprised if this noise is another issue. This car has been a pain in the a** since day one..... just my experience.
I experience the same thing. The valve "clicking" noise is normal in 4-cyl. Camrys.
For those that are using synthetic oil, rather than the conventional dino oil, the clicking noise is louder!
I use synthetic oil only...... but my noise sounds like two tin cans beat together, not clicking. I only get the noise when I am driving, with rpm between 1500-1800 and I press the gas slightly.

Really? So if a Honda or a Chevy don't have the ABS clunk that's normal on the Toyota, that means that because a Honda or Chevy doesn't do it, it's a problem with the Toyota...
That makes no sense at all.

On that basis alone, if you don't like a noise it HAS TO be a problem then...
Amazing.
Can you post a video clip with sound? That would actually be helpful.
ok, ill post the video of the NORMAL sound of a 2AZ that i personaly recorded. Just incase no body saw it. If this is the noise your hearing, its NORMAL once again. http://youtube.com/watch?v=VU8OyMq78tg

Does this noise occur between 38-45 MPH when driving at a steady speed and then you accelerate lightly to go up a slight incline? Also, have you had the TSB performed on your car "To Enhance Shifting Performance"?

I get the same noise with my 2007 Camry sometimes and it did the same thing with my 2001 Corolla I used to have. Nothing to be alarmed about. My dealer told me the same thing.
