2009 camry vibration

Hi,
I had my brand-new 2009 Camry LE 4cylinder automatic-trans for one and half day. it runs great except one thing : when the car speed is >25mph,I put my hand on the steering wheel, I can feel some kind of vibration, it is just like that you stand by a river, and water flowing by, you can feel the vibration. it is not very obvious( I mean the body of the car doesn't dance with it), but you hand can definitely sense it. if you lower the speed <25 mph, your hand only feel the up-down of the road. Is this normal on a Camry? or something abnormal happened?

thanks,
t.z.

If you feel a vibration from the sterring wheel, then try having the tires balanced first. This may cure your problem.

If you feel the wheel vibrating while braking, then check for warped rotors...

New car, would not expect any warped rotor. I guess tire balance (maybe the car was parked for a while w/o driving on the dealer lot, that causes some vibration initially as well but should go away)...but, if the vibration is very little you might never get rid of it. I rebalanced my tires a few times and while it got much, much better it never completely disappeared.

Take it back and have the dealer fix the problem. The steering should be rock solid on a smooth road. BTW you should always test drive the actual car you are going to buy prior to signing any paperwork. Look for any faults or defects the same as you would with a used car. If you don't like the one you test, ask to drive another one. If they all have the same "problem", go look for a different vehicle. You would be suprised at the differences in 2 seemingly identical cars.

I have that same sensation. It feels as if the steering wheel is hollow. On my '95 Camry, the wheel deadened/isolated the feeling of the suspension and road. I'll mention it to the dealer on my 1st service visit in 2k more miles.
