agreed....K&N makes a neat shielded short ram intake for the 2007+ I4 camry....also, fujisbo and injen make similar units for your car....no power gains im told, but itll make a nifty noise when you accelerate
you could also invest in a nice custom exhuast, but alsio few power gains
youd need alot more than $500 for powere gains on the I4....shoulda bought the V6 for power
dont want the promblems of the 6
how about a s/c?
i would be willing o save for a month or 2
so what are some stuff with out ripping into the motor?

buy a tow hook and a hitch and attach your car to a faster car... you just need to face that fact that without going F/I or getting engine work done, you'll never get anywhere close to 150hp to the wheels
it kinda sad my 4x4 i4 reg cab taco, is faster(and gets 26-28mpg), it dotn bother me but it bothers my wife. maybe she should just drive her tc and stay the hell out of my car.
y trade my new car in that i just bought in jan, besides it is too soon they would kill me in sale price.
i would get a new highlander sport and not another camry.
i was just wanting just a littl grunt, i may tune it and get a intake and say eff it.

You should have got the V6. I couldnt take another 4 cylinder camry after the 05 i had. Nice to know i can fuck up most cars on the road if i ever need to. And i can do it stock.

The parts department at my local toyota does not show a TRD drop-in filter offered for the Gen 6, I4. That being said you should be able to find a K&N filter that will fit. If it bothers your wife that much, maybe she shouldn't be driving your 4-door sedan.
i took it on a 30 miles test drive around the city and various mountains. does fine for me, i drive kinda slow, she said it lags when u push the throttle baout mid way down, it just dont down shift te way here car does but the car has prolly leanred how i drive and was reluctent to down shift, it is not as touchy as her tc
(but here runs about 500-700 rpm higher), but wot , i think they are about the same.
altima back seat was alittle small, being 6 foot 3, abd my friends about the same, i wanted somthing u could sit in and not rub your head on the headliner. so that nixted the altima.
i test drove every, well amost mid size 4cyc cause that is what i wanted, speeding tickets hurt too much.
dont care about racing that much anymore, still out ran a cobalt in this car. now in my old es300 it seen the 139 speed limiter a few dozen times, and the drag strip even more. but dont care to do that anymore.
i was just wanting 10-15 more hp in the low mid range.

i love my I4 camry's durability, ease of maintenence and fuel economy for sure....60k problem free miles....
i have the old 4 speed auto mated to my 2.4, so i experience less lag and have a tad more power....my car certainly gets out of its own way but fast isnt a word to describe an I4 camry....
if youre trying to gaina few ponies, look into the K&N intake with shield, as they claim a 6HP gain....not sure if this is true as ive never tested it myself, but hey if it floats your boat by all means buy it and give it a try
