Lug Nuts?

Hey,

I am going to buy some security lug nuts for my TRD 10 spoke 18" Wheels but have a few questions before I buy them.

1) Is this the lug nuts size of Toyota TRD wheels? Size is 12 x 1.50
2) Do Toyota TRD wheels have
conical seats?

In summary, if I buy some 12 X 1.50 conical style lug nuts will they fit?

1. Yes, that is the correct size.
2. Did your TRD rims come with any lug nuts at all?

Eric.

Nope, I bought them used, so no Lug nuts included I'm using my factory ones...

That's why I want to know if they can be conical style...

Do your stock lug nuts look like these? If so, then I believe you can not use the conical lugs. This is off memory.

Eric.

Here are some pics of the log nuts I have and of the actual wheel hole. I don't know why but everywhere I checked on the net, All the options I get for the Camry are coned....Why's that? If they are not conedwhat type pf lug nuts they are?

From Top

From Bottom

From Side

Actual Wheel Hole without lug nut in

Just in case they are for these wheels...

Okay, here it goes from a none expert, but I hope I learned from the last threads . The lug nuts you have look to me like the OEM for the Camry OEM wheels. To see if the TRD have to use these or coned (60deg shoulder, tuner lugs), I would simply check if the lug nut seat on the wheel has that angled area or not. I can't tell from these pictures. As discussed in other threads, most after market wheels use the coned (60deg, tuner lugs) version of lug nuts while the OEM wheels of some mfg incl Toyota uses the type you show. Not sure what TRD is following here. We had a few threads about that just lately - coned vs not coned, who uses them, how to check etc.

Wheel Lugs

I guess all I need to know is if conical style tuner lug nuts will fit on TRD Wheels.

Anyone that works for Toyota or knows for sure who can help?

As stated above, look at the wheels. The pictures don't show the lug nut holes clearly.

If the lug nut holes in the wheel are tapered then it's the standard/tuner style lug nut. If the holes aren't, use the shanked lug nuts.

You've even been provided a link to another thread that shows and talks about lug nuts.

Just open your eyes and look...

Style is washer type with a flat seat. At least my TRD wheels does not support conical Tuner type wheels. I confirmed the info with my friend who sold them to me @ Toyota Dealer.

In other hand I was watching my mom's Rav4 and they seem to be conical. Maybe some SUV form toyota are conical style....or maybe not.

A Google image search for that part number showed these:

Apparently the TRD wheels take the same lugnuts as the factory Gen 6 alloy wheels.
