Gen6 Quad Projector Headlights

I saw this on eBay and I hadn't seen any threads on them yet:

Anyone try these yet? Any thoughts? Quad HID retrofit?...

Sorry to all those that did angel eyes here, I think its over rated and too many people have them. I think its something that should stay with BMW's, just like Altezza lights on Altezzas. Though quad HID's is cool, won't it be a bit of an overkill though? And won't those have to be bi-xenons to take care of the highbeam problem?

this has been covered MANY times... only a handful have them and they say the output isn't the best. and the lense depth is too small to put an aftermarket HID kit in

But the second projector looks much nicer than the reflector housing we have. From light output, if you retro the low beams it should be just fine (or do you mean even the low beam housing is too small?). I don't use high beams that often. But another noob question to that topic: what type bulb is the high beam here (H11 looks to long?).

It's not much of an 'HID' projector setup, it just takes the stock bulbs and puts them into different halogen projectors. The Gen6's already have halogen projectors for low beams, while the high beams, which are 9005, definitely don't need halogen projectors at all.

This headlamp might be worth considering if your planning to do a quad projector retrofit, it'll require less cutting and fabricating of the headlamp assembly itself due to the fact that there are already projectors there.

...because newer model cars would use bi-xenon? Just curious.

this wouldn't look too bad if they were blacked out completely and minus the ccfl rings.
