I'm going off the record and have my Top 5 right here:
1. Chevy Malibu
2. Honda Accord
3. Toyota Camry
4. Ford Fusion
5. Saturn Aura
I love what Chevy has done with the new Malibu. A complete transformation from the previous rental car, this car looks classy. Now this based on looks alone, drivability and interior wise I'd probably pick the Camry over the Malibu because I love the simple, clean interior of the Camry and the Gen 6 is a excellent driving car.
I also love the new Accord. From certain angles the car looks like a BMW, never a bad thing. However, I take off points for the overall bulkiness of the car. Also, that car ranks last in the interior department for me. I hate that crappy looking dashboard.
Still love the Camry design, but since everybody and they're grandmother owns one, I have to put it in 3rd. However, if I were buying a midsized car today I'd pick the Camry as the overall winner. My Camry has been bulletproof, and plus I love the new interior!
The Ford is 4th me. I like the car a whole lot, especially the grille. Not totally sold on boy-racer tailights, but thats the only problem I would have with the car. Interior is merely average. Too much cheap, hard shiny plastic for me.
Aura is last of my Top 5. It's a clean looking car, even though it reminds me too much of the Pontiac G6 (not a good thing) from the rear. However, this car has really helped my overall perception of Saturn out a whole lot. Interior suffers same issue as Fusion does.
Others are a toss up. Passat is ok looking car, Mazda has too many awkward proportions for me, and the others are so boring I can't remember.
