Hey u all. My front lip got damaged during winter and side of it is not holding onto the bumper anymore. Lip is sticking out a little cause the clip is broken. Im going to re install my bumper due to bad fitment after HID installation and will fix the lip too. So far I came up with two ideas 1 is to put a screw on the side as shown in pic below or to use to 2side tape. What you think I can do to fix the lip? All suggestions welcome.
The small screw in the wheel well would be the best looking, and cost effective way to fix it.

Yeah it doesnt have 2 side tape. I wantedto put 2 side tape but think it will come off at high heat temperature. Ill go check few hardware stores may be will find some nice screws.
Thanks of the input.

3m body molding tape... it takes 24 hours to cure...
does anyone know where i can get that little grey rubber thing on top of the lip kit? is that just tape?
How about going to your local Toyota DLR and getting the clip if that is possible ????
I don't know if the clip can be replaced or if it permanantly mounted to the plastic....

I dont think thats the tape. Ill check the 3m tape out and what its all about. Yes im going to make it permanent. I know screw will fuk up the look but ill try to find something less visible and there are lots of other spaces i can put the screw in. Once i take of the bumper again ill know for sure whats best.

clip was mounted with the plastic Dealer is not an option. It cant be replaced
If you get the 3M auto body moulding tape it will be permanent. Just make sure both surfaces are clean and dry. Your emblems and body moulding is held on with that stuff.

The real 3M stuff works fantastic. It's amazing how well it holds and how much pressure it can take. Make sure it's not the white stuff. The grey tape is what you want.
there is a black urethane caulk that BMW uses, it called Betalink.
it is thick, I would use that
Hmm. Ill do some research on it and see if i can get it. So far its 3m tape/screw. May be betalink too.
