Ok, well ive been throwing up the idea lately of installing a supercharger or turbo on my camry, and i think im going with a turbo set up... Now, ive dont alittle research and have read that this block will be pretty durable under boost, now my question to you is, what all do i need exactly to get my turbo up and rolling.. I think obviously the following:
Turbo
Blow off valve
Engine management sytem
intercooler
and piping
Is there anything at all im missing?
Also, have they developed cams, or UD pullys or stroker kits for the 1mz motor... Also, i saw this "horsepower" kit online, its 1300 and comes with some pretty cool stuff... Yay or nay? Thanks all you your advise...
You "threw up", dude feel better! Good luck! I think if you use the button search maybe it would help out a lil better

At the top of the Gen 5 & 6 Camry forum there is a sticky that tells newbies to read it. If you had done that you would have discovered how to use the search function.
When I entered "1MZ-FE turbo" I came up with these threads:
Oh WOW! That was a nice thing to do. Did all the work for him.

I think you should spend every penny you have on jacking your 4 cylinder Camry and turn it into a regular racing machine. Yep, that's a grand idea. Maybe you can pull that automatic out while you're at it and install a transmounted 5 speed manual. Don't forget the 20 inch carbon fiber wheels. Hey, do you still work for NASA?

they don't make the TRD supercharger anymore for the 1MZ, guy. You'd have to go custom everything for the turbo v6.
