i did 4 runs at capitol raceway in crofton, MD a few weeks back...
lost my timeslips, but i bested at a 16.8 at 84mph
stock 03 SE 2.4 with just a TRD air filter and deleted resinator...oh yeah and the 4 speed auto
hey,
i ran at a local drag stip at shannonville, i clocked a 14.025 with my V6 camry.
It is the 2004 SE V6 with the 225hp/240tq.
I have lots of weight reduction, i went with no spare, my volk wheels (only weigh 17lbs compared to ~30 of stock wheels, +removal of the 45lb spare!), lowed tire pressure and thats about it.
There was another girl in a V6 who ran something like 14.4 all day!

You got me by a tenth. I ran 16.9 at 81.3 MPH.
That was on a day that set a high temperature record though (seriously) with a full tank of gas. I should be able to squeak out another tenth.

Wow, that seems incredibly low for a Gen5 V6, even with those mods (though I am not very familiar with the Gen5s).

I have the same car, my wheels are 20s lbs. The temputure was around 70-75 that day. I had about half a tank of gas, i did four runs, 14.75,14.76, 14.69, 14.61. I also took out my spare tire.
edit: kasimm, low 14s is pretty quick... got slips?
I ran my wife's camry this weekend at Raceway park in Houston yesterday. Before I give you my times let me give some history. I've worked for Toyota since February 1998 and prior to that I worked for a well known speed shop/engine builder fo 12 years...
I made 6 passes. My first was a 14.056 @ 103.78. My worst was 15.5 @ 99.95 (tires smoking in 3rd). My best was 13.800 @ 103.64. My fastest mph was 104.00 (13.855). I foolishly ran a 13.848 @ 103.78 with a 2.535 60' time with the a/c on.
I know most people out there are scratching their heads wondering how the car ran so quick, or wondering if I'm full of s**t. The truth is the car is even quicker than that. I was not really ready to run the car yet. I just went to the track to support a buddy running his Z06. The spare tire was in the car, with the baby seat, and about 12 pairs of my wifes shoes...
I really need to work on some traction problems. The ride is very unpredictable until the 330' mark...
