thats a nice find pretty nifty addon, havn't heard of it but it seems pretty useful anyone have any experiences with this? I would be interested to try since I wont be going to the dealer for my oil soon anymore

looks like a neat little gadget!
id get one but id be afraid of that valve opening and just draining my oil everywhere....

If you already had it on your previous car, why are you asking everyone if they tried it? How did it work on your Evo and how long did you have it?

I'd rather have the security of a regular drain plug. Drain plugs aren't exactly hard to remove or install.

yeah njerald thats my fear as well...all it would take is a piece of stray road debris and youll have a nice blown engine

It worked great really! I've had it on the Evo for 3 years in all 4 seasons and it still held up very well. Never rusted either!

yes, also what the other fellow said it could get snagg on road debris. also there's a lot of mindless vandals in California and some of them would get it in their brain to open the valve and drain all your oil just to be a-holes.

true but seeing that not many people have this what are the chances that someone random will walk by and look under every car for a valve lol, unless its someone you know or knows you then diff story

I have had a Fram Sure Drain on my wifes 2001 RAV and on my Camry ever since either was new (at first oil change). I really like them alot and in almost 100k combines miles I have never had a problem with them coming open. The Fram one is a very different design though.
