09 camry auto transmission

Hi, guys,
thanks for all your help. I notice one thing about my 09 cmary LE 4CLwith auto trans. I heard that with auto trans, when you accelerate from stop, there is a pause/lag at certain speed/RPM. for mine, one pause/lag happens near 20 mph and the 2nd happens around 40 mph. but if you hit break from higher speed like 55 mph, and when it reduced to 40 mph, you feel the break loose a little bit, you have to push the break a little bit harder. this is just opposite of acceleration. is this normal?

t.z.

it's normal.. it's called engine braking. As you slow down, the car automatically shifts gears

Are you slamming the gas or you doing normal driving? Do you have v4 or v6? If you slam the gas with V4, you could have a hesitation but never had it at specific speed. If you not doing anything crazy, take it back to the dealer and have them check it. You should be having any problems with 09, again assuming you not doing anything crazy

That doesn't make much sense to me either.

He has an I4. The Camry doesn't come with a V4.
