Quick engine turn-over but slow to crank-up

My son has a 2002 LE V6 which takes longer to crank than my 2004 V6. My engine fires-up in about one second, but his engine takes an extra second or two (maybe three seconds) before the ignition key can be released. His battery tested good under load, and the engine turns over fast, but it just takes longer to crank-up (run). Any suggestions?

Maintenance? Did you check spark and fuel pressure?

No, to my knowledge he hasn't had anything looked into to figure out why he has to keep the ignition key turned a little longer.

So does that mean you can't answer any questions that are asked?

If that's the case, why are you asking?

This thread might help us, help you: http://www.toyotanation.com/forum/t249869.html

I'd ask myself is it worth ripping into and spending time and money for a minor flaw thats probably not even a flaw? I dont know about you but i already have enough problems without inventing some.
