Some Customers may be concerned about an intermittent shudder when lightly accelerating after an upshift around the following speeds: 26 mph (4th), 36 mph (5th), and/or 44 mph (6th). Production changes to the torque converter assembly have been implemented to improve this condition. Refer to the repair procedure below for diagnostic instructions to confirm if the torque converter needs to be replaced to address customer concerns.

could this be our infamous V6 tranny shudder? I think I'll wait until my tranny runs dry and explodes....since the idiots at the local dealer "didn't" feel anything....Wonder what they'll say when my car gets towed in after the converter fails.

I am not sure I understand what this is saying. Can someone please explain what the "shudder" refers to? Can you feel it in the entire car, or is it a slowing in acceleration, or can you just feel it in the steering wheel...?

Shudder refers to the whole car shaking as it eminates from the transmission. It occurs at upshifts, 3 to 4, 4 to 5, 5 to 6.
