I'm installing a leather interior kit right now and need your help!
I'm in the process of installing my Katzkin leather interior kit right now. I'm completely finished with the rear seats and it looks absolutely gorgeous so far. I've just started on the front seats but I'm having a problem.
Above the lever that reclines the front seats, there is a circular gear shaped lever that adjusts the back. For the life of me I can't figure out how to get it off. Does anyone have any idea how on earth to remove it????

I'm going to take pics to post while a wait for an answer
In the newbie section I've posted the Camrystuff.com links for the 5th and 6th Gen Camry.
Are you putting black seat covers in a light grey interior?
cool, thanks. I'm going to get started on that snap ring now. Yea, the interior is the same color grey as the cupholder in the rear armrest in the pic. I could have bought grey leather but I personally love the color contrast of black and grey together. The whole kit cost $300 which is a bargain considering the quality, but the installation is very tedious.
I'll post pics when installed for anyone who's interested.

Damn, that's a great price.
Are you doing away with the fabric on the door panels also?

yep, the kit was a genuine katzkin and included the door panel inserts. I'm going to be doing that last, then installing a real aluminum dash kit on the dash and door panels.
The seller on ebay is called accessoriesrusfl or something like that if you're interested. He was selling the kits for 04-06 camry for only 249.99 a while ago but I'm not sure if they were genuine katzkin
def post a lot of interior shots after you're done especially the front with the dash and the rear panels with doors etc, I'm intrigued by the grey + black wondering how it would look, I was considering doing this I saw those kits before but don't know how good they look for $250 lol, even though someone here got the tan one I believe but your install so far looks almost perfect good job

can't wait to see :-)
I purchased my leather from the guy "accessoriesrusfl" on ebay, and I paid $250. The funny thing is I paid $500 for someone to install it. Twice the price of the leather kit.

LOL. I was also looking into getting mine installed professionally and the cheapest estimate I got was $400 and the most expensive estimate I got was $700 just for installation. On top of that they wanted to keep my car for a week.
At First I was like WTF! but now After doing the work myself i COMPLETELY understand why the installation fee is so expensive. I'm on my second day of working on this and its a hell of alot of work and my fingers are all cut up. Honestly I wouldn't do it again if someone paid me $500 so don't feel ripped off
not trying to be off topic but would 2005 camry seat fit in a 2003 camry,
I'd think "yes." Same generation -- should be the same seat. Most of the actual seat frame dimensions didn't even change from Gen5 to Gen6, for that matter....

Yep. $700 is a little excessive, and so is a week. Still, even a professional shop with more than one guy working on the installation would probably eat up an entire day on the job. $400 to $500 sounds just about right.
