Gen5 I did something new and need opinions about something else

I noticed that when I replaced my factory grille that nearly half of it was blocked off so that air couldn't pass through. Installing the RS grille actually lets in more air which increases the car's Cd. I wanted to remove the RS grille and completely block of the grille behind the mesh, but it's fit so tightly that I can't remove it without damaging it.

I decided to block off the lower grille under the bumper instead. I did that with a piece of acrylic. I cut the acrylic to size and painted the backside of the acrylic sheet black and installed it behind the mesh. I drove the car on a warm day with the A/C on and the engine temperature stays normal. You can't even tell that the acrylic is there because it's black and behind the mesh so new pictures wouldn't really help to show anything.

Anyways, to the part where I want opinions. My aftermarket foglights are discolored so I now have some OEM foglights to install in their place. I was thinking about doing one of three things:

1) Just install the factory foglights without any modifications
2) Apply tinted overlays to the foglights
3) Apply tinted overlays and also a matching mesh chrome decal (that duplicates the stainless mesh in the grilles)

Here's a pic of the front of the car.

Which of the three options do you think would look best?

I'm leaning toward option one the most, but sometimes think that option three would look fairly neat and unique.

I'd go with option 1. Your REALLY looks clean the way it is. Perhaps you can have some body do a photoshop of your other options?

Thanks, I never even thought about photopshopping the pic.

If anyone would do that, I would appreciate it.

option one.

i sorta don't understand the first part with the lack of space behind the RS grille and how it fits so "tightly". you can't fit a small piece of acrylic behind the both sides of the grill like oem? or was the problem more about the way it would be held on?

Thanks for all the opinions guys.

Thanks for the photoshop too. For me, it makes option 1 look even better.

With the rubber surround that I did, the grille is wedged in so well that even with the nuts completely off it won't come out. I can get it out, but I don't want to break it. I could get acrylic behind it, but would want to secure it to the grille in a way that looked like a factory built piece, and not a cobbled piece of junk.

I appreciate everyone's opinions.

Keep them coming, because I'm still not 100% certain yet.

Another vote for option 1. That front end is about as good as it gets for my taste.

Option 1 definitely. Your car has a clean and smooth look. I think the overlays would ruin the style of your car.

Well, I listened to all of you and just installed new fog lights without any modifications to them. The quality of OEM is obvious, as the reflectors in the housing line up perfectly unlike the cheap ass aftermarket lights that I had.

I also used this opportunity to install high beam pigtails and bulbs in the fog lights to make them a little brighter. They look and work great.

Thank you for all of your opinions, and the compliments!

Gen 5.5's FTW.
