New Problem - Noise when moving steering wheel

OK, yes, she's on trd lowering springs. all is tight and the person that installed them is a pro and myself.

Just started today. In parking lot going slow and slight turns and the sound is a like a creak/clunk/rachet sould. It does not do that with bumps.

I can sit still and it still does it. just moving the steering wheel back and forth

So much for using the search function for a topic that's been posted about HUNDREDS of times...

maybe the springs arent sitting properly on the rubber mounts, you should get that checked. it happened with my previous car and when i took the springs out the rubber mount was all torn up, but i cant guarantee that this is definitely the problem, its just one possibility

Several members (myself included), have that problem when they are lowered. From what I've heard, it has to do with the bearings in the strut mount.

UPDATE: 07 Camry SE V6.

We removed and re-installed the strut last night. The noise is just from the right front. I do have a steering noise problem as well. The TRD spring has a plastic sleeves on the spring. this is for coil bind noise prevention . What we did was use a dry Teflon spray on the spring only and the noise went away. Now all I have left is the steering clunk.

My friend that is a master auto mechanic said the spring binds when turn left and right against the coils. It binds and releases with turning the steering. As I said, after all was checked for torque specs and all was 100% correct, the spray was was did it.

THE SPRINGS DO NOT BIND ANYMORE. The coils are very close together. NOISE GONE NOW
