5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Get rid of that huge resonator ASAP if u havent done so yet...it sounds way better without it. I just got mine removed. Its just a lil deeper and a lil bit louder but not very loud or raspy at all.
Haha! Can you post some vids inside and outside the car? Someone else on TN removed their resonator and, from the sound in the vids, it didn't sound quite as clean as with the resonator. Your vids might change my mind though...
BUT if you have gen 6 with an i4 and not a v6 like most do here, with dual magnaflows like me....keep the resonator on lol. my camry sounded like a wrx exhaust without it.
Heres the new video without the resonator. Hope u guys like it cuz I sure do. Not loud unless I step on it n I could hear it over my intake at high RPMs. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9KyIakbgiZ0

Someday I will list my mods here
I don't know why people make videos of exhaust systems when idling, they usually only sound good when you first turn the engine over, after that it sounds nothing like it does when you are actually driving.
Nothing against you, I think it sounds great, but theres just not much point in making a video when your just idling. Get someone to record you flooring it up a hill or something.
Agree on that one - always sounds different under load. But it's difficult to make a usable video of a driving car (except drive by) - wind noise, need a second car and driver who stays close etc.
I was thinking of swapping out the resonator for a glasspack or the magnaflow part that maxxhavoc used... Anything wrong with that(swap for glasspack) cons?
