hearing air while breaking at slow speed on downhill

Maybe i am going crazy or maybe this is the way it's supposed to be(toyota camry special feature?) While driving down slope in office depot parking lot at very slow speed, when ever i hit the brakes it sounded like air was going out(had windows open). Air pressure indicator didn't come on so i know i wasn't losing air from my tires.

edit: 2008 camry se with 900 miles

mine does that too. i always thought it was my intake because my rpm goes up slightly. or something when it shifts down. o.O

What you're hearing is probably most likely the air rushing into you brake booster, on the back side of your booster diaphram (opposite vacuum side) when you apply your brakes, air rushes in, the air goes in from inside your car, look under your dash where the pushrod goes into the booster, thats where it gets in
