5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
Remember it's photoshopped so the brakes look funny backwards...
Somebody photoshop'ed more than just wheels, I think? The front wheel overhang on that Gen6 looks much shorter than it is in reality (compare to moky's pic)?! More like a BMW or IS type short front overhang here.
Wheels are nice, but too small for my taste (looks like 16" or 17").
tobeit, actually no. if you took a photograph at a lower visible standpoint with a wide angle short range lens, your photograph would look similar to the original picture posted by scweet.
think of it as you crouching or kneeling while taking the picture, but with your camera angled slightly up (as if you are looking at the ceiling of a room). you make your level at par or lower with the car instead of the normal height you stand in.
this gives emphasis to the middle or center of the image, but it distorts both sides of the center. if you study the picture, you see the doors look a lot longer, but yes, the front seems short. did you notice the rear that it too is seemingly short-"er"? and there is a lot of "ground" too on the image as denoted by my yellow line.
on another note, these wheels look great on a rwd platform more than on a front wheel one. the nice thing about these wheels is that if you get the stepped lip option it looks amazing if it is wide something like a local guy here has, he sports a 19x10 on his bimmer, past flush fitment, stretched tires, machined lip on gold mesh spokes...WOW
but then again, if you go something like 18x7.5 or 19x8, without significant lip, it would look like 17s... especially with just lowering springs...

hope that made sense.
i could be wrong though
Might be, just wanted to point out that in reality (w/o distortion) it looks different. On a first look I really thought the pic is of an IS....

+1 - with a more normal drop and tires (these are extremely low profile I think), they will look much smaller and by far not as impressive.
Don't get me wrong..the camry on that pic looks great with these wheels...reality will just not be as impressive IMO.
