Gen6 sunroof tilt down

If i have my sunroof tilt up and want it to be closed, i am having to press down little by little or it will tilt right back up. Is this normal or do i need to take my car to dealership. Manual do not address this, so just want to confirm that it's working normal. All other vehicles i had it would not go back up if you pressed down.

2008 camry se v6

No worries man. I thought it was funny too. Just to help out, try the search function first. If not, post you car year, trim, etc in the post or even better, in your signature. Good luck.

Not exactly sure what your problem is, but you can keep your sunroof tilt down button pressed until it is fully closed....not little by little - it stops when it is closed and you can hear that. h

Noobies.

Probably just needs to be re-initialized.......

Procedure is in your Service manual or s/b the same as this:

Sunroof Closing problem

Same here when I first got the car. After about three or four times of trying to put it down the problem went away. I just tried to recreate it and couldn't.

Interesting, it fixed it self. Played up down couple of times and now closes fine.
