sup everyone.. I ordered a set of fusion flex 20 x 8.5's wit +40 offset .. now I'm not sure which tire size to go with. I have a 2007 camry se 4cyl. some ppl told me I can go with 225-35-20 tires & should be fine.. some said it won't fit on a 20x8.5 rim . one shop told me 245-35-20 .. I'm not sure which size to go with.. I dont want it to rub that's my main concern.. I'm also not gonna drop it or anything . any help out there greatly appericiated. thanks TN

I put 20's x8.5 on my CE 5-spd. I got 225/35/20 Toyo proxi 4. They fit fine, but you will wanna lower it as i now have about a 3 inch gap from tire to fender. I love how it looks with 20's and the car is so big that you wont believe they are 20's unless i drop it.
+1 You heared it from the master. 245/35/20 is just perferct for 20x8.5 +40 offset.
even on a SE? just askin cuz I know lot fo the ppl have either a ce,le,or xle which don't have the SE body kit on it. I can't dro it after I get the rims cuz of myy stupid driveway.. long stop made short.. even rite now if I don't pull out a certain angel it'll scrape.. I don't even wanna imagine how it'll get if I drop it.. lol.. I know it looks so much better with drop & I want to do it..but I just can't rite now.. itss scrape way too much..
225/35/20 on a 20x8.5 is definitely fine, im running 225/35/20 on a 20x9.5 and its still fine, mine stretches a bit though
wow.. ur running 9.5's .. with a drop? wow.. I like the way ur car looks... its really nice.. I really do appericiate all the help form all of you on TN. I'm jus worried cuz our camry's have a full turn wheel.. I jus dont' wait it to rub when u do attempt a full turn ... most likely I will go wit 245/35/20 since a few of the pro's do recommed it.. pics will def. be posted once they're onn & I get time to take some clean shots..
rofl his car is not just dropped. its slammed to the floor.
lol.. maa badd.. yes ur rite.. it does look sick as F.. esp. since its the same color as mine.. haha.. but yea.. I wanna drop it so badly..but just can't rite now... either redo the whole driveway & spend close to $5k or not drop the car.. hmmmm.. hahaha...
slam it on coilovers and park on the street like i do lol
hahah.. I don't mind.. but when I wanna wash it.. that's the real problem... I don't run it thru the car wash.. ALWAYS hand wash it in the drive way... that's the only reason peach... no self wash carwash's ... at home.. hand washed & dried....
even if you get the rims, it wont make a diff on your driveway since 245/35/20 would be close to the stock overall diameter of 215/55/17 on the SE. your car's ground clearance would essentially be the same, maybe a bit higher by a few, negligible millimeters so you dont have anything to worry about.
the only time you'd need to worry about a full wheel turn is when you either have:
1. super wide front wheels like a 10incher (which would be quite ridiculous)
2. a bigger overall diameter of the wheel, something like if say you went with 20s and then you got tires like 255/40/20 or other donk/suv sizes
