Glass Breakage Sensor

I bought my car with the factory alarm system. However, as the manual states you should be able to tap on the glass and trigger the alarm. I can trigger the Glass Breakage Sensor if I bang on glass from inside the car. I used a picture frame because I didn't want to pound on my window with a key. I usually have to be close to the location of the mic, which is under the glove box.

Did Toyota turn the sensor down so you don't get false alarms? Also, does anyone know how to adjust mic?

Programing is done with the "Intelligent Tester" at the dealer.

I ran a quick google search and found some that have a dial under the dash.

Anybody else know for sure if I need the dealership diag. computer?

Gen 6 requires the dealer.
