How to remove the turn-signal flasher on a Gen 5 Camry

Dear all

May I ask this stupid question please. I have located the turn-signal flasher under the kick panel and I need to remove it. However, no matter how I wiggle it, it still won't be free. I can tell that there is something catching it but I cannot work out how to remove it. I tried brute force without avail. Any help would be apprecaited.

Many thanks.

Many thanks. So there is no clip holding it then? It feels like there is a clip but I just cannot locate it.
