2008 Oil Change

Has anyone changed to synthetic oil as early as 10k miles? I have run Mobil 1 full synthetic in my past cars and my fiance's car is right at 10k. She is about to take it on a trip to Florida, so I was wondering if it would be a smart thing to switch to synthetic. It is an 08 4cyl auto SE.

Thanks in advance

Go for it! Once you change you should not go back to conventional oil!

That's crap. You can switch back and forth as many times and when ever you want.

Well, I would be going, but her mom and sisters are going. We are getting married on Nov. 1st, so this is the trip where they go and pick everything out. Here is how the conversation went:

Her: Do you want to go to Florida with us?
Me: Is this trip going to be dealing with the wedding?
Her: Yes
Me: No
Her: You have to watch the dogs...
Me: Gladly...

I always switch to Mobil 1 synthetic at 1,000 miles. I just don't want waxy, sludgy dino oil in my cars, ever!

I guess my choice of words was incorrect. As I was not trying to state you can not switch back and forth. Thanks for catching that.

Gen6

my Toyota dealer in my area has their own Toyota full synthetic(0-20w) for $15 less than Mobil 1. I'm still on my first oil change since I do mine every 4.5-5k miles. I agree with fellow members once you go synthetic you have to stay with it.

I did saw this deal but did the search and Mobile 1 don't currently have the oil filter for my '07 Camry SE V6.

That's because you don't know what you're talking about. Actually, nobody in this thread agrees with you. Do some research, this has been covered before.
