5th & 6th Generation (2002-2006 & 2007-2011)Toyota Camry Discussion for years: 2002-2006 & 2007-2011
Topics of discussion range from fuel economy, safety, modifications, performance all involving America's favorite family car, the Toyota Camry.
I talked to Biggie at Cobb Tuning, and he said if we can generate enough intrest they will do an AccessPort for Toyota/ Scion. They recently did up a Camry SE (Gen 6) V6 and turbocharged it. They tuned it with an AccessPort. They can make maps for performance, for economy, etc. They aren't expensive either. Given the AccessPort is about $695, who would want one?
We need to really show that we want this so they'll make it. We can tune for N/A then when you want to go FI, just make a new map and you're good. This thing can be used over and over and over again. I had something like this for my old Focus (Diablo Predator) and it was the greatest thing. Id make a change, want more boost, etc. I'd call the programmer tell them my change and they would email a tune to me, and download it then program the cars computer.
I think once we get a certain number of intrest, I will see what we can do to organize a group buy. We have to show them we are worthy to even get R&D time...
