What stores did you check with, and did they all refuse to order it for you? Personally I wouldn't use 0w-20 during the summer in a hot climate, but some here will argue the point. If you insist, it must be full synthetic at this viscosity.

My local Pep Boys and Napa didn't have it on their shelves. I didn't ask them to special order it as I thought I would find it elsewhere.

My '09 Owner's Manual says "5W-20 or 0W-20 may be used" in the 2.4L engine. It also says that "0W-20 is the best choice for good fuel economy....." There is no warning caution about using 0-20 in hot summer weather. With $5 gas on the horizon I am keenly interested in squeezing as many miles out of each gallon as possible.

IMHO I would use Eneos Oil. It is a little more costly, but it is a real synthetic oil. It is Japans largest Oil company and it does increase horsepower and fuel economy. It isn't easy to find but when you do get it, you will love it. I used to like Mobile 1 but when I learned about that lawsuit against GM and Mobile 1 I felt I should learn a little more about oil and not really pay attention to that all mighty marketing god!

HA!!!

All synthetics are real synthetics unless they are semi or blended synthetics.

How many extra HP and mpg did you get?

0w20 and 5w20 will probably not save you much gas.. it's just the warm up period that's effected

I was just at the Walmart on Beach Blvd and Trask today. They have it stocked up there. Its about $6 bucks a quart. Let me know how you like it after your oil change.

True, but most synthetics are blended. Point being, Mobile 1 is a group III oil. Which means that they can say it is fully synthetic, but the fact is the base stock is mineral oil. They only need 30% to be sytnthetic adders. Which is usually hydroisomerized slack wax. True synthetic oils are Group IV and V. Which means they use NO mineral oil.

Now, don't get me wrong. Companies like Pure Power are strictly non-synthetic and their oil is top notch too. It is just what you prefer.

Don't know the hp have seen the perfomance in drag race applications
as for my economy I have seen about 2 miles per gallon difference on average in the winter
and about 1 mpg difference in the summer. Also I do about 95 percent city street driving
