If your 01 IS headlight housing looks like the Gen5 housing then you must have the halogen housing. Your Tacoma and your IS both have the same headlight halogen housing. (No projectors)
Your best bet is ask JSM1284 to do a retrofit on your Tacoma for you.

Or you can get one of these on ebay then you can use the HID plug-n-play kit for those projectors. The quality of those projectors are not the best but with HID kit...it will be better than stock!

the is has hid designed for reflector housing. (that or, the housing is designed for hid)
i know it's one or the other if i am not mistaken

naw its cool . i dont like takeing apart or replacing housings .. i will just put in the piaa bulbs for the headlights and then ill put in the nice fogs and also will put the piaa bulbs on the brush guard and will be ok .. not perfect but will be ok .. moky ur a nut .. take some more damn pics of ur car .. im needing to see a nice camry pic.. come on lammy u to ..

lol, I think people on this forum is sick-n-tire of looking at pictures of my Camry in a lot of threads lately. I'll just wait until the meet in June 28th to take more pictures.

damn moky ur shit is looking great vip balla .. i love the hr5 to lammy i wish i would have had them on my car in 19" with my kit would have looked great with the white ride.. oh well .. yall are still doing great .. keep up the great work .. they look sick boys .
