Benca1,
Please don't put HID kit into your halogen housing onto your Tacoma because you are gonna blind everyone!!! For the safety sakes, don't do man.
To answer your question, if you're looking for a quality HID kit, we have www.Xenondepot.com as our TN vendor here. They are as good as HID kit comes.
Again, please don't do it. Go for retrofit because it gives better output and safer for everyone around you! (not to mention to keep the cops from you)

There are some very pricey PnP kits out there, and since you want a very good one i dont think its going to be cheap. Why not add a little bit more money and do a retrofit?

got it peach .. i have several owners of tacomas and they say that with the xenon depot kits are specifically designed for certain apps and they have had great results with the tacoma and that they do no blind everyone and have the same output as stock in regards to the pattern .. very good cutoffs .. so now i dont know either yes or no lol big question.

see this is from steve at xenondepot.. chk it out

Hi,

There are several factors involved:

1) What colour temperature you end up going with. Some of the really higher color temperature kits that product alot of colou do end up being far more distracting.

2) How well the the bulbs in the HID kt are rebased. The bulbs on our kits are laser aligned so that the focal point of the HID bulb sits in the same spot as your OEM halogen bulbs. As a result, your OEM beam pattern gets replicated.

3) Your vehicle's headlights. Some headlights work better with HID conversion kits than others. We have actually had some very good success with the new Tacoma headlights using H11 bulbs.

4) In some cases, customers have slightly angled their headlights down a little due to the increased light output.

One thing is for sure though. Once you drive a car with HID you will never go back to halogen =) The difference i literally day and night.

Steve

Benca1,
Is your new Tacoma came with a halogen projectors (like Gen6 Camry) or halogen housing (like Gen5 Camry)? If it came with halogen projectors then the glare/blinding is reduce a lot. But if it came with halogen housing then you will have glare and/or blinding on coming traffic.
If you have halogen projector then my apology for assumed that you have halogen housing that was why I posted "Don't do it" earlier.

In the end a HID upgrade will increase your light output and you'll love it but just other drivers might be blinded by it. I guess it cant be TOO bad because alot of newer cars with HIDS and prjectors are already pretty blinding! I have HID's on my reflector housing in my accord and i have yet to get flashed once.
