I believe I am going to have to have the engine rebuit in my wife's '03 Camry. Does anyone know how much I should expect this to cost?

A short block is going to be about 2400 and it goes up from there. Something needs to be really 'bad-wrong' for you to need a new engine.

I would just get a remanufactured short block or long block (whichever one is needed) from Toyota. A short block stickers for $2738.10 from Toyota.
