I am thinking of getting this down the road, but it says "extra wiring maybe needed to install correctly on non-Japanese vehicle". What extra wires might be needed?

I too would like an answer to this specific question. For example can you tap into a wire under the dash, or do you have to go all the way under the hood ?

The mirrors are actually the Aurion ones. My parents are in the Middle East, so I asked them to find out from the local Toyota dealer how much it would cost and thats the price he gave them. They will be visiting me this summer and will bring it with them. I'll save on shipping that way
