Gen5 Got my TRD Exhaust installed

Just to review, i'm not that wowed over the TRD Exhaust. I was expecting a bit more umph for the money I paid for. What I did like was that it was lighter than the exhaust that was stock.

The straight pipe sounded better than with the muffler on. I'm still happy about the exhaust, though it's all for aesthetics now.

Well i'll have a video and pic of it up soon. It does sound good inside the cabin though, outside leaves something more to be desired.

I don't think i'm going to put much more work into it. I don't want it louder, I just want a deeper sound.

maybe a highflow cat would help? i don't know much about exhaust systems. I do know i'll be putting a highflow cat and taking the resonator out though..for a louder deeper sound.

I didn't know that. When I was wondering I scanned his sig and saw "I4" but didn't look for the year or the RIP part.

no resonator = raspy ... its not gonna make the tone deeper, and the "loudness" you interpret is the raspiness of the exhaust note that is being canceled out, as it should be

I'd love to hear a sound clip of a deep sounding 2.4 I4 Camry...

I'll have a video up by tonight -- i'm planning to make one in a few mins I just wanted to have the camera ready -- I took one with my phone but it was a bit choppy... the vid with my phone sucks.

Yeah I haev a V6, the inside of the car sounds great, but I've never heard the car outside unless It was in neutral, for some reason it doesn't sound as deep unless it's in gear.

For a deep tone, there will need to be a load on the engine. Even tractors don't have a deep tone when they aren't under load.
