Gen6 Will this be covered under any kind of warranty??

Hello everybody.

I have a 2008 I4 se with 8450 miles on it. I bought the car Dec 2007 with the extended Toyota Extra Care: Platinum Plan.

One of the options i have is the 6 disc JBL.

A problem I have been having for about 2 months now, has been getting alot worse. On the drivers side door, when I am playing music, there is a rattling sound that is getting louder by the day. I’m wondering if I can take my car into the dealer and have them fix it for no charge. I have added a picture of where the rattling sound is coming from, and also a video of the rattling sound.

Please help!

I have some similar coming from the passenger door, but I assumed it was the speaker. I intended to have them look at it on my next dealer service - next couple of weeks. Good to hear it could be covered under warranty.

Hey I have exactly the same issue, but in my front passenger door, and it doesn't ALWAYS happen.

Tell me...does the rattling happen when you put the window down?

I can stop my rattle if I put my window down on that door.

Your car is covered bumper to bmper for 3 years or 36k miles. Beyond that the drive train has additional warranties and some of the emission equipment goes on beyond that. Read the Extended Warranty and you will see it covers the essential components such as engine and transmission, but probably not the stereo system.

this happends to me regardless of weather the window is up or down... also im 70% convinced that it is not a speaker problem.. it sound more like parts within the door are rubbing against each other as bass of the speakers gets louder.. this is not a problem when the volume is at 5 it starts at 6.

So is anyone 100% sure its covered under warrenty other than njerald

Bumper to bumper for 3 years or 36,000 miles means just that. Yes, it's covered. If the dealer gives you a problem, call Toyota corporate and talk to customer service.
