Thanks. emailed him. Still would like some advice even if I go into a dealership and how to handle them and their tactics.
*edit*
Hmmm...email bounced back.
Don't know if that's his email address but you can PM him. You are about 240 miles from one of their dealerships and 233 miles from the other.
1. Decide what model, exterior and interior colors (or if you have a 1st and 2nd choice) and what options.
2. Email/fax all your local dealers (Internet Manager) giving them your order info, payment method, time frame and ask them for their best price on a stock or special order vehicle (car price and TTL costs). It's a lot cleaner w/o a trade-in.
3. Sit back and wait.
4. Pick your best offer. Have the info confirmed. Pick up the car.

Started emailing internet managers to local dealers. So far one responded with high $28,000 (invoice price). Waiting for 2 more.

Do you have to pay tax if you buy out of state?
I see the price includes freight? how do they ship these things do you?
I'm curious as well. NO tax in that specific state you buy it from but you have to pay for your own state tax when you register the car.
I thought about going to FL where my uncle bought all his Scion's and Toyota's from but when I bring it back to NY, I have to pay NY tax.
So I'll be getting my Cam in July. Probably go to dealers near mid/end of month as I know they'll need to meet sales quota.
Any advice from the veterans as to what to look out for, how to get a great deal, etc. Any information would be appreciated.
Find the one you want on the internet, you can check stock and it will show if it's "in stock" or just available. If it's in stock they should have it.
Oh, and get the V6 for sure. Wheels you can add later but if you find the one you want and it has hub caps try to make them thow in alloy wheels to make the deal.
Don't take anyone with you when you go. And walk out if you don't get what you want. They will call back.

Dealer websites list only so much information and not what is included or added to it
My sig says V6. Hub caps are not even offered on SE. Considering this is my first time, it would help if someone knowledgeable is there with me. Walking in being a newbie and not knowing is where I can get suckered in and being ripped off.
