I am finally getting around to getting my windows tinted. I was thinking of getting 50% all around. I would rather get all the windows the same tint % rather than the fronts one % and the rear another %. I am in California and I know it is illegal to tint the fronts. I have a Magnetic Gray Camry with Gray interior. Is it worth getting 50% tint all around or is it not much of a difference from no tint at all? Thanks
Yeah Im in California also. My 2009 white SE V6 has Limo Black on back glass and 50% on all four windows and I regret it. Its too light. EVEN in my Super White! ya gotta go slghtly darker. Good Luck!

I wouldn't suggest doing it yourself unless you've done this before.

50% is terrible. No point, I know because I had it on my 04' Camry... Not worth the money. Better just payin the same amount and gettin it darker.

for VA its 50%. I have 35% on the camry and 20% on the Santa Fe. Depending on where you live in VA, cops can be okay with things and some won't. Fairfax county is bad at times. But I've had 35% on 3 different cars and I never had an issue with a cop or inspection. And I've had 20% on both SUVs that I've owned and no issues with that either.
i think around 30-40 is good. honestly in california the chances of getting caught is pretty low cause it's so damn hot... everyone has hella tinted windows. (yeah even though technically the darkness doesn't reflect the amount of heat reflected)
also it depends on the type of tint u get, graphite, metallic, or whatevers.
i got the one with the metallic tint, when you look from the outside it's more like a mirror reflected black then a coal dull black tint.
the metallic one appears even darker at late afternoons.
