Little air from vents, fan blowing great

Newbie here. I have a 2002 camry and I don't get very much air coming out of the vents when A/C is on. Air is cold but no volume. Blower motor is kicking butt. I have the manual and figured it could be the Mode Damper Servo or just some ducts coming off. Do I need to take the whole dash out to get to the Mode Damp Servo or is there an easier way?
Thanks, Dann

The air should be coming out of somewhere, whether it be the defroster, midlevel, or floor vents. If you find it coming out of somewhere other than what it is set for, then you are correct to assume something under the dash is broken and needs to be serviced.

Using the recirculation mode also increases the cabin airflow. You may also have a clogged cabin filter, if your vehicle is so equipped. I doubt the ducting is the problem.

After reading from the archive, that was the problem. Cabin air filter. Now I have air again. Gonna be over 100 degrees today. Thanks for all the help, you guys nailed it! Funny thing is that the diagnotics in the service manual dosen't mention the cabin air filter.

They probably figure if you're smart enough to use the repair manual, you'd be smart enough to change the cabin air filter when required. It's in the maintenance manual, after all.

Thanks, I just read the diagnostic part and it didn't mention anything at all about the filter. Oh well, all is good. Great to be on this site. I try to figure stuff out first and then go here to get the short cuts, but this was an easy fix. Just didn't spell it out in the manual where I was looking.
Thanks, Dann
