Good for you njerald, good for you. For the OP, if you're hearing metal to metal, obviously something is rubbing and it is leaving evidence, so...
-figure out where the sound is coming from. You think the rear, but make certain.
-determine WHEN it happens. Any time the wheel turns? Only when you apply the brakes?
-once you have localized the issue, raise the car up, block it so it won't go anywhere and not hurt you, spin the tire to see if you can get any sound. Have a friend to apply a little brake and again try to spin the wheel, looking for the sound.
-when you have the right one, pull the tire and wheel and start looking for the obvious abrasion that would result from the metal to metal grinding.
-fix it
