Gen 5 E-brake Rubber Guards

I Have A Question:

On The Gen 5 Auto Shifter Consol Area, The Emergency Brake Lever Which Has Pieces Of Rubber To Prevent And Provide Cover For The Space For The E-brake Handle, I Had A Cigarette Lighter Fall Down In There, Thru The Rubber Barriers, The Dang Cig Lighter Fell Thru And Into That Area. How Can I Get Into There And Get It Out? What Exactly Is Down There Anyway? I Was Able To Pull Apart The Rubber, But Could Not See To Clearly. Any Help Appreciated.

you will have to remove the upper trim for the entire middle console. starting from the armrest, open up the top compartment and you will see thats where the upper trim starts. using a taped up screwdriver or equivalent, start prying the trim out from there... once you get it started, you can probably do the rest by hand. the upper trim consists of the cupholder, and surrounds the shifter and the e-brake. you should be able to get the cigarette lighter out then.
