Metallic paint peeling off of cupholder door

Hi all, I've never posted on here before so be a little easy on me if this issue has already been brought up. I was cleaning my '07 Camry yesterday and noticed when I flipped the door to my cupholders to cover them, there was a little bubbling in the metallic paint at the top left side of the door. I scratched it for some stupid reason, and the paint just flaked and exposed the white plastic underneath.

There is only about a 1/2'' length line of bubbling, but I'm wondering how this could have happend. I always leave the door open, so maybe there's something hot underneath in the center console that might have caused this? It looks like it was the result of being exposed to something really hot, so I'm calling my dealer today to schedule an appt.
